Spring Break 2004

my mood: confused
reading: Legacy by Greg Bear
listening to: all the strange noises that aim can make when people IM me
Playing: Fire Emblem
Working on: IPC homework (so tedious >.<;;)
trying to learn: 4-ball juggle
practicing: DDRMax2 songs

Ok, I'm gonna start this off one step at a time. Number one, let's review the last post, shall we? Paragraph one: Still true. Paragraph two: *Does* anyone have any idea how to create an intelligence agency out of a smattering of high schoolers? Paragraph three: Um, yeah, geometry. I got a 101 on a test! Not that hard though. Paragraph four: I think I'm switching my savings goal to a uni and comic-con, rather than contact juggling. Paragraph five: More on the dude ranch next paragraph.

Ok, next step, where I've been this whole time. I spent most of the last week at a dude ranch in Bandera, Texas. I was hoping to use a phone line to get my fix, but they had one phone line on the entire ranch (at least that's all I saw). There were some pretty cool activities. For example, I know how to crack a bullwhip now. Also, I appear to be a natural at tomahawk throwing, as my first two times trying it, the tomahawk hit the target and stuck. I'm either a natural or lucky.

On Sunday, I hiked the Bataan Memorial Death March. It's a normal marathon, except in the desert in New Mexico. Unfortunately, I was sick, so it did not go well. I did get a time of 7 hrs. 54 minutes, despite walking. However, after resting about ten minutes on the grass by the finish line, I tried to get up and nearly fainted. Not pleasant, not pleasant at all. On the plus side, I got a free t-shirt for participating, and a shiny-thingy for finishing. Yes, I am nearly that easy to please.

I suppose I'd best start some sort of new topic instead of reusing old ones. Let's see, the one thing that sticks in my mind at the moment (that I'd care to relate) is a rather out of chacracter comment (so to speak) that I made recently. One of my friends had recently updated his profile, and told me to read it. One of the sentences in it was something along the lines of "I'm not focused on girls right now. At this age, relationships with girls tend to lead to premarital sex." In response, being tired as all heck (actually the time when I'm most truthful. Ask me anything when I'm awake, and if I trust you I'll most likely tell the truth. Ask me anything when I'm really fscking tired, and I'll definitely tell the truth unless it's a really deep seated secret.) I said "no they don't. I just want someone to cuddle with damnit! j/k". Of course, since I was really tired, I was not "j/k" so to speak. And that is that.

Now I reach the end of my post. Please take a look at my friend Dom's comic, Angels. I will update every Saturday, god willing. I will also update before then if anything worth updating about happens.

As Richard Bach said, "Don't be dismayed at good-byes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends." Therefore, I leave you now with this.

Farewell
